Ayurvedic Care & Consultation

Ancient, nourishing wisdom to help restore your balance during pregnancy and after birth.

Ayurveda is an old tradition with tender ideas about caring for a mother: warmth, oil, nourishing food, rest, and daily rhythms that follow the season and the body. I offer this as care and comfort, not as medicine. We sit together and look at what your days are like now, and gently weave in practices that feel good and are simple enough to keep. Warm oil on tired legs. Something cooked and easy to digest. An earlier evening. None of this replaces the care of your midwife or your doctor, and I make no health claims for it. It is a way of being looked after, which in pregnancy and after birth is not a small thing.

Who this is for

This is for you if the idea of being cared for, slowly and warmly, appeals to you. Perhaps you're pregnant and tired in a way that sleep doesn't seem to fix. Perhaps you're in the weeks after birth, when everything is about the baby and very little is about you. Perhaps you're simply curious about Ayurveda and would like an unhurried introduction rather than a website full of rules. You don't have to believe anything, or change your life. Come as you are, and take whatever is useful.

What happens

  1. We start with a conversation

Your days, your sleep, your appetite, your energy, what feels heavy and what feels good. No tests and no diagnosis - just listening.

  2. We choose a few simple practices

Warmth, oil, food, rest, rhythm. A small number of things you can actually do, chosen with you and suited to where you are in your journey.

  3. You try them at home

In your own time and your own way. Anything that doesn't suit you, we drop without ceremony.

  4. We adjust as you change

Pregnancy and the weeks after birth move quickly. What suits you now may not suit you in a month, and that is expected rather than a problem.
